Nurturing compassionate global citizens

Students Discussing

Over the years, the perception of international courses has changed dramatically. With the flexibility to choose subjects and the convenience of exams offered thrice a year, the Cambridge curriculum has become a top choice for students and parents alike. Gitanjali has been among the pioneers in providing world-class education for over a decade.

We are proud to see Gitanjali students excel nationally and internationally at top universities. Through a rigorous international curriculum, our students learn to think critically and compassionately about the world around them. Whether it’s through research on animal rights or advocating for the well-being of sick animals, our students are constantly finding ways to make a positive impact on their communities and beyond.

By instilling a sense of responsibility and social consciousness, we are preparing our students to become reflective future leaders who care about not just their success, but about the well-being of others as well. Our AS Level girls are part of All India Women conferences. Through their research on the well-being of farmers, students have brought to light the struggles and challenges faced by them. With the objective of turning their ideas into tangible change, the students have come up with an innovative solution: “Urban Farming” on school terraces. This idea not only helps to address the issues farmers face but also promotes sustainability and self-sufficiency within the community.

Our Cambridge students have not only gained a wealth of knowledge but also learned to use their research skills to make a difference in the world around them. From visiting slums in Hyderabad to understanding the challenges faced by disadvantaged communities to studying the economic impact of global conflicts on India, our students are constantly seeking opportunities to apply their learning to real-world issues. Whether through interviews with local officials or research on current events, we empower our students to become engaged, compassionate global citizens.

At Gitanjali, we believe the key to fostering a sense of global citizenship begins with addressing local issues. That’s why our checkpoint class VIII students took their learning beyond the classroom and conducted research on human rights. By visiting the local police station to learn about the subject, they gained a deeper understanding of their role as responsible, empathetic global citizens. Through these hands-on experiences, we are helping our students become active agents of change in their communities and beyond. Our students have risen to the challenge and have taken the reins as true leaders by initiating an E-Waste campaign that resonates beyond the walls of our school. We believe in the power of hands-on, experiential learning. That’s why we use dynamic, interactive teaching methods to help our students fully grasp and engage with the Cambridge curriculum.
