“As parents, we have become aware that children are like sponges — they soak up everything around them. Therefore, we make a conscious effort to model healthy relationships in front of our son Aadit Singh (class V) by showing respect for each other, resolving conflicts together, and communicating openly — the recipe for positive, loving relationships. Moreover my son’s teachers are always finding innovative ways to encourage the values of teamwork and collaboration. Through these collaborative efforts, we are hopeful our child will develop the skills he needs to build strong relationships lifelong” — Laxmi Kumari Singh, homemaker

“Over the years during her summer and winter holidays, I have encouraged my daughter Tanusha (class V) to communicate openly by expressing herself freely while also listening to others to build stronger bonds. Understanding and respecting boundaries in conversations is another key lesson I have taught her early on. However, beyond what she learns at home, her school has played a crucial role in shaping her understanding of relationships. The school’s Labour Day celebration has instilled in her the importance of recognising the contribution of school helpers through simple acts of kindness. Over the past two years, Gurukul has also nurtured her independence by encouraging her to make her own choices” — Alivia Mallick, homemaker

“We believe that nurturing relationships comes from spending quality time together. Whether it’s our evening walks with our pet, engaging in conversations, or enjoying activities like making videos and playing board games, these moments strengthen our bond and instill a deep sense of appreciation for love, togetherness, and shared happiness in our son Shubhankar (class V). His school has also been instrumental in reinforcing these values by creating an environment for children to learn empathy, teamwork, and respect. Through collaborative learning, interactive activities, and value-driven initiatives, the school ensures that students form meaningful connections with their peers and the community” — Nikita Joshi, principal, Neev — The Beginning.

“All children are not equally sensitive to social cues. What seems to be natural for some children becomes a task for others. I have noticed that Gurukul The School recognises this difference and treats every child in a manner that their needs are fulfilled. I have also noticed positive change in my daughter Aratrika’s (class IV) social behaviour. With the support of her teachers, she has learned not only to make friends but appreciate relationships. From a loner, she has graduated to having a friends circle that mutually respect each other. Not only in school but even at home, Aratrika demonstrates appreciation for her family, pets and surroundings. I am very thankful to the school for inculcating this skill of valuing relationships in my daughter” — Dr. Shikha Choubey, dentist
