On Wednesday, a total of 4,166 teachers joined government secondary schools in Odisha during a program held at the Kalinga Stadium. An ‘Nijukti Parba’ (appointment meet) was organized at the stadium for the induction of teachers.
Addressing the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik emphasized that the aim of teachers extends beyond fostering academic excellence to nurturing good human beings. He stated that teaching is not merely a profession but a mission to prepare Odisha for the future.
Patnaik highlighted the successful transformation of 6,883 high schools across the state through the flagship 5T (transformational initiative), resulting in a significant positive change in the school environment.
Furthermore, Patnaik announced the launch of the Rs 138-crore Chief Minister’s Education Award scheme in Odisha. These awards will be bestowed upon teachers, students, government schools, village panchayats, school management committees, as well as district and block-level education officials.
