“Private schools have greatly impacted post-independence India’s economic development and society. In particular, the drive to build the IT revolution and new industries of post-liberalised India has been led by students who received their foundational education in the country’s best private schools which have inspired promotion of the government-owned Kendriya Vidyalayas and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas providing millions of children the inspiration and environments to dream big and fulfil their dreams. Looking back I am satisfied with the role I’ve played in developing and nurturing some of India’s best private schools,” says Sharma.
In recognition of this extraordinary contribution to the growth and development of several top-ranked schools in India and developing countries of the third world, the Board of Directors and Editors of EducationWorld are privileged to present Pramod Sharma the EW Outstanding Achievement in Education Leadership Award 2018 and induct him into the EW Hall of Fame of Indian Education.
