Oxfordcaps, Asia’s first branded and tech-enabled student housing company has recently set up an all-women customer support centre in partnership with SHEROES. Under this partnership, Oxfordcaps and ‘Managed Remote Solutions’ (MARS) by SHEROES will provide better job opportunities to the women workforce. This initiative will offer Oxfordcaps a service where certified women professionals are deployed on various customer support processes to help drive the company’s customer facing business.

Co-founded by INSEAD graduate Annu Talreja, CEO and IIM-Calcutta alumna Priyanka Gera, COO – Oxfordcaps has clocked a 75X growth in less than 11 months since its launch in India and has expanded from 200 beds to acquisition of over 15,000 beds. Oxfordcaps aims to grow its operations across education hubs in India including Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Greater Noida, Dehradun, Indore, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.

Comments Talreja, “At Oxfordcaps, we are trying to do our bit to create more jobs and provide equal opportunities for women. Apart from having extremely talented women in our workforce, our partnership with SHEROES will now ensure that our customer support centre is run entirely by women. These women will be a part of Oxfordcaps’ customer support centre as they have the required skills-set in customer servicing. All of us at Oxfordcaps are thrilled to be a part of this innovative initiative of having an all-women customer support centre.”

“Customer delight is one of our key focus areas at Oxfordcaps. We are confident that our women led customer support centre will handle our customer’s demands and queries with efficiency and expertise. With this initiative, we will cater to our consumers from all across the country through our toll-free helpline number,” said Gera.

This partnership is a unique way of providing certified, skilled women a chance to get back to work. There are many talented women in the country who are unable to find a suitable job after a break in their career due to personal reasons like maternity leave, marriage or inability to leave their house as they have to look after their children. For example, Sheena (name changed) had a work experience of five years before she became a mother of two, but once she started looking for a job again, she could not find a suitable opportunity for two years. At that point in time, she came to know about MARS by SHEROES and got an opportunity to work with Oxfordcaps’ customer support centre while staying at her home. Oxfordcaps and MARS by SHEROES are helping such women to work from their home and stay employed. The entire customer care service for Oxfordcaps will be managed end-to-end by SHEROES. All the customer support processes will be provided by these women.

“Our pipeline of women professionals come to us via the MARS community on SHEROES platform. The women are certified by SHEROES not only on the grounds of profession, academics, skills, readiness and infrastructural set up to work from home, but also on work culture, empathy, seriousness and the output that they deliver. We are very happy to associate with Oxfordcaps as it is also led by women founders – Annu Talreja and Priyanka Gera. Our engagement with Oxfordcaps creates great value for their consumers and also meaningful work for our talented MARS women professionals. It’s a win-win situation for both,” says Sairee Chahal, founder CEO of SHEROES.

Oxfordcaps is a global standard students’ residence provider that offers a technology-enabled and community-driven living experience designed for the Gen Z students in India and Singapore.
