Harsh Himanshu Vora, student of class X of PG Garodia School, Mumbai has bagged all India rank No. 3 in the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) exams 2019, the results of which were announced on May 7. Harsh made it to the third spot with an ‘English plus best of four subjects’ score of 99.20 percent.
Says an elated Harsh, “I am extremely delighted at the all India rank I have received, but certainly we are all shocked because I was not expecting this result. I never had a goal or a target percentage in mind. My mantra was to work hard and put in all my efforts. I never kept a certain target percentage in mind. However, my family and my school are all happy with my results. Now my aim is to graduate from IIT-Mumbai, complete my computer engineering and join Google. During my exams, my mother was my true inspiration. She supported me a lot, especially during my last exam – Biology – when I experienced dizziness. She stood like a pillar of strength throughout the year. I have learned the value of hard work and dedication from my mother. Also, my teachers at PG Garodia School were a great inspiration for me. They were always willing to resolve my doubts after school hours. Every teacher has inspired me in a certain way.”
Says Mitali Rudra, principal, PG Garodia School, “We are delighted to have delivered 100 percent results in the last nine years. Our student Harsh Vora ranked No. 3 at all India level this year with 99.16 percent which is a really great achievement for all of us and I am sure this would motivate other students and teachers equally to stay on the toppers list in the years to come. This also reiterates PG Garodia’s strength in academic excellence besides focus on overall development of the students.”
