Plaksha University and Penn Engineering partner for international research and academic collaboration

Plaksha University, a leading research institution in India, has signed an MoU with Penn Engineering, a prestigious Ivy League school within the University of Pennsylvania, the oldest university in the US.

This partnership aims to elevate global research and strengthen academic collaborations, focusing on international student exchanges and groundbreaking advancements in education and research.

“The partnership with Penn Engineering is a major milestone for Plaksha,” says Prof. Rudra Pratap, Founding Vice Chancellor of Plaksha. “By uniting our strengths, we’re building a solid foundation for joint research and academic exchange that will benefit both our faculty and students. We’re eager to explore the opportunities ahead.”

Key areas of collaboration include faculty, researcher, and student exchanges for joint research and academic activities. The universities will share knowledge and publications, fostering a broader impact on research. The partnership will also support the development of cooperative research and educational programs, leveraging both institutions’ expertise.

Prof. Vijay Kumar, Dean of Penn Engineering and member of Plaksha’s Academic Advisory Board, adds, “This partnership with Plaksha offers an exciting chance to engage with talented Indian students and faculty. It will not only promote cross-cultural exchanges but also drive research addressing global challenges, enhancing Penn Engineering’s efforts in health, data science, and sustainability.”
