PowerSchool, a global leader in cloud-based software for K–12 education, has announced the opening of its new Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Chennai, marking a major milestone in its India growth journey. The 300-seater facility strengthens PowerSchool’s presence in the country and underscores its long-term commitment to the region.
The Chennai CoE will focus on developing advanced AI and machine learning capabilities, driving innovation, and enhancing collaboration across PowerSchool’s global and India-focused technology operations. It will also bring multiple teams under one roof, fostering knowledge-sharing and enabling the creation of integrated solutions that serve both local and international markets.
PowerSchool currently employs over 1,450 people in India—around 175 in Chennai and 1,300 in Bengaluru. The company continues to expand its capabilities in line with its global strategy while offering employees access to world-class resources and career opportunities.
