Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deogarh is an all boys residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi which offers education from class VI through XII. Founded in 1922, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deogarh is the oldest educational institution of Ramakrishna Mission. The school hosts a well equipped charitable medical unit with modern diagnostic facilities, a centre for academic coaching for school going children from underprivileged families, vocational training courses for local school drop-outs under the auspices of National Open School, and occasional relief and rehabilitation work.
The school campus includes two separate campuses namely the secondary section and the senior secondary section. The campuses have several playgrounds and provisions for trainings in martial art, yoga and gymnastics under the guidance of able instructors. There is also a sports complex with a stadium, a sophisticated gym and courts for basketball, volleyball and badminton etc.
The Vidyapith houses a dairy, small aviary-cum-greenhouse and a small medicinal orchard, a museum rich in ancient and tribal heritage of Indian civilisation and a separate wing on the life of Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, spiritual consort of Sri Ramakrishna. This wing is known as Sarada Darshan.
A temple of Sri Ramakrishna is located at the centre of the Vidyapith campus where morning and evening prayers are regularly conducted by the resident boys, which is an important part of their daily routine.
The school follows CBSE curriculum and offers education from class VI through XII. Besides academic studies, the school encourages its students to engage in music, art, debate and discourses and student are trained in martial arts, yoga vyam and gymnastics under the guidance of able instructors.

Prospectus and application forms are available at the school’s book sales counter for INR 650 from July 1 and the last date for availability of the forms is October 31. Duly filled applications must be submitted by November 16 and the date for admission test is December 20. The boys are admitted to this institution in class VI through an all-India test; selection is based entirely on merit ascertained by written, oral and other necessary tests.
Admission to its secondary section is restricted to standard VI alone, however some students from other schools are also admitted in class XI depending on the availability of seats. The school offers education in science stream only in its senior secondary section.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Deogarh offers an educational unit for the deprived and the less fortunate children of the communities in spite of their admission to local schools. In addition, some vocational courses for the school drop-out youths are conducted under the affiliation to National Open School. Nutritional foods such as milk are also served to the children.
