Ripu Daman Bevli joins hands with Hayde Heritage Academy For World Cleanup Day Campaign

Ripu Daman Bevli AKA Plogman of India & Hayde Heritage Academy comes together for the World Cleanup day Campaign. The world cleanup day is a civic movement, uniting 180 countries and millions of people across the world to clean up the planet. This year, amidst Covid-19, the students of Hayde Heritage Academy created a video campaign urging all the Indian citizens to clean up their environment. The students vowed to stop littering & urged every citizen to do the same.

Ripu Daman Bevli’s contribution is noteworthy in creating awareness in the society towards single use plastic through innovative ways. A pioneer of ‘Plogging’ in India, he has been recognized by the Prime Minister himself. Bevli has an infectious enthusiasm towards creating a litter-free India. Till date, Ripu Daman Bevli has organized close to 500 clean ups across the 75+ cities.

According to one of the student, Ketan Dobriyal, “Plastic is not fantastic, Litter makes world bitter, Put trash in its place. As a proud student of Hayde Heritage Academy, we promise to be the change! We vow to make a difference! We vow to stop littering!

Ripu Daman Bevli said, “My goal is to make India Litter Free and for that we need to get the entire country of 1.3 billion people together. The best way for a movement to spread across the country is the involvement of youth who are our future.”

He further added that this year due to Covid, “we were unable to organize clean up drives but video campaign like this with a strong message of stop littering can reach across the country. I am absolutely sure our young generation can inspire the rest of the country to make a  litter free India. Thus, I urge Parents, Students, Schools & Teachers to start this movement by making a promise to oneself & asking others as well to adopt this in our daily life.”

Rupamala Singh, Principal, Hayde Heritage Academy said, “Our school has always focused on social & environment aspects that need attention. Our association with Ripu Daman Bevli is also a way to make students aware & we urge everyone to follow.”

She further added that During COVID, a campaign like this has become relevant so every citizen can focus on cleanliness not only at one’s home but also in their surroundings. I hope each & every individual pays heed to the voices of India’s youth and make our country litter-free.
