Ryan International School (RIS), Faridabad, is a co-educational day school affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. It was promoted in 1992 by the Ryan International Group of Institutions (RIGI) founded by Dr. Augustine F. Pinto and Grace Pinto. Currently RIGI is India’s largest chain of proprietorial K-12 schools comprising 128 high quality English-medium schools with an aggregate enrolment of 250,000 students mentored by over 14,000 teachers countrywide.
RIS, Faridabad offers education from kindergarten to class XII. A distinguishing feature of all Ryan schools including RIS, Faridabad is the extraordinary focus given to extracurricular education. Students are encouraged to participate in a number of events including the International Children’s Festival of Performing Arts (hosted by RIGI), INMUN, among others.
The school provides spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, primary and a senior library stocked with course books, reference books, story books and audio-visual CD ROMS. Other academic facilities include a math lab, computer lab and science labs. The math lab is equipped with models, games, charts, CDs, and books. The physics, chemistry and biology labs and the three computer labs are fitted with modern equipment.
There is a medical facility on campus. The school organizes regular dental and eye check-ups for students every year.
The school has a fleet of buses, with a female helper and a schoolteacher in each bus.
Ryan International School is affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The school does not have any formal examinations from class I to V.
The school’s academic honors are recognized in the form of a ‘Scholar Badge,’ given to those students who achieve more than 95 percent and above in their academics record. The school also honors those students who score 95 percent and above for three consecutive years with a ‘Scholar Tie.’
Extracurricular
The school offers training in music and dance. Students can learn to play the harmonium, synthesizer, congo and tabla. Dance training includes folk and western dances. TOther activities offered are art and craft. Sports facilities for basketball, volleyball, lawn tennis, cricket, football, athletics, indoor carrom and table tennis are provided. Yoga and aerobics are also part of the school’s physical training programme.
The Green Force Club and Service to Society Club encourage students to participate in community service activities.
