Promoted in 1996, Salwan Public School, Gurgaon is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was founded by the Salwan Education Trust, with the objective of “leveraging potential through innovative learning methodology, capacity building and continuous improvement in the ability driven education system”. It offers education from Montessori to senior secondary.
Salwan Public School is an ISO 9001: 2008 certified organization by Standardized Testing and Quality Certification (STQC).
The state-of-the-art campus offers well ventilated classrooms equipped with display boards, computers and a library section. The classrooms are also equipped with LCD screens and interactive boards for audio visual (AV) teaching.
The Wi-Fi enabled library is air conditioned and features a collection of more than 20,000 books; it also houses a CD library and an AV room.
The school canteen serves nutritionally balanced food prepared under hygienic conditions. The health center conducts a medical checkup annually and a health week/month (in April) besides wellness talk / updates. Children at the Montessori level are encouraged to adapt to their new environment. The curriculum is thematic and uses various artistic expressions, such as puppets, flash card, charts, real objects, toys, abacus, stick puppets, life skill classes and audio visual aids to impart lessons. Role play, indoor and outdoor play, sand pit, water play and story time are also used to engage children.
At the primary level, the curriculum is integrated, interlinked and framed on the guidelines provided by NCERT. Activity involvement aims to ensure holistic learning and personality development and worksheets are given to enhance learning skills and a continuous and comprehensive evaluation is done.
At the middle and secondary level the NCERT prescribed curriculum is followed and children are provided exposure to different aspects of life. Foreign languages are also introduced at this level.
At the senior secondary level, students are provided exposure to different aspects of life and the NCERT curriculum is continued; at this level, the focus is on preparing the students for competitive examinations. The Student Council acts as a resource for the students to develop positive personality traits and skills.

Admission Procedure: The admission forms can be downloaded from the school website or collected from the school office. Submission of the duly filled form must be done within four days of procuring the form between 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm only. Both parents must carry the original documents/certificates for Verification of Documents (VOD) at the time of submission.
The school is a recipient of the National Values Award 2010 conferred by National Bal Bhavan and the recipient of the 4th State Level Computer Literacy Excellence Awards for Schools 2005 conferred by the Ministry Of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India.
