Sarala Birla Academy (SBA) was selected as one of its Global Sustainability Hubs in South Asia, enabling students to participate in the Global Sustainability Councils (GLOSCO).
Organising the GLOSCO Summit has brought significant benefits to the students of SBA. It has provided them with a platform for skill development in areas like critical thinking, global analysis, entrepreneurship and diplomacy. It augments their academic enhancement by building a compelling portfolio through the PortAhead system, greatly increasing their chances for admission to top global universities with scholarships. This association is also in alignment with SBA’s profile as an institution dedicated to fostering global citizenship and leadership.
Early this year, 4 children from India were chosen under the aegis of IFSPD Europe to participate (online) in the Youth Panel for the Davos Worldwide Conference at the WEF (World Economic Forum) Annual Meeting held at Davos, Switzerland. Of them, 2 were from SBA: Masters Rishabh Pandey and Yog Sinojiya. They shared their views on:
1. How the youth can help improve collaboration in a fractured world
and
2. Future of the world from the youth perspective
Recently, Master Raghunandan Farmania of SBA was one of the children from India chosen to speak to the august gathering at the 30th annual UN climate meeting – COP30.
