With classrooms shifting online during the present pandemic, internet has become an essential tool of learning. Unfortunately, with the increased usage of internet, cyber-attacks are rampant. Since fore-knowledge is the only way to protect oneself from malevolent and coercive elements while surfing online, Sat Paul Mittal School organized a virtual workshop on Cyber Security for the students of Classes VI-XII.
This workshop, conducted by cyber security expert Arun Soni, aimed to equip students to recognize the threats and secure themselves and their computers against dangers lurking online. An internationally acclaimed author from Chandigarh and recipient of the distinguished author award by FEP, Federation of Educational Publishers in India. Soni is director of TCC, which administers computer education, computer training, software development, cyber security workshops besides authoring computer books.
Soni also warned the students against cyber-bullying which majorly targets the teenagers and updated them about various methods of protecting themselves while surfing online. The informative session ended with question answer session that resolved queries of the students. Various case studies were also presented for the edification of the young audience.
