Sat Paul Mittal student creates ripples of change at UNESCO

Namya Joshi, a student of grade VIII of Sat Paul Mittal School has brought laurels to the school by winning the coveted ‘The Outstanding Delegate Award’ in IMUN held at New York from July 19 to August 1, 2020. UNESCO Centre for Peace in Partnership with Go-MUN organised an IMUN -STEM virtual summer program to
focus critically on scientific fields, human rights, political and cultural dimensions and globalisation.

It was indeed a great opportunity for Namya to participate among the 500 delegates representing countries from far and wide. She represented India in the United Nations General Assembly and won ‘The Outstanding Delegate Award’. She was the youngest in the group and the UCP Collaborative Project prepared under her leadership received the Honour of the Technology Award. A keynote speaker at ‘KEOS 2019 – a global education conference’ in Jyvaskyla, Finland, Namya was also lauded by Guy Djoken, Executive Director, UNESCO Center for Peace, New
York for her perseverance and humility.

Bhupinder Gogia, Principal of Sat Paul Mittal School, applauded Namya on her remarkable achievement and wished her to keep soaring high, moving ahead to win more accolades, thereby, making her Alma Mater proud.
