The SBOA (State Bank of India Officers’ Association) Public School, Navi Mumbai is promoted by the State Bank of India Officers’ Association Education Society. The objective of the society is to provide better “educational facilities to society, in general and the wards of employees of SBI and other banks/organizations affiliated to AIBOC, in particular”.
The society purchased a plot, measuring 3,500 sq.mts, reserved for school by CIDCO in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, in the year 1998. Construction was completed by 2002 and the school admitted its first batch of students in the academic year 2003-2004.
SBOA School, Navi Mumbai is affiliated with the Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. It offers education from pre-primary to class X (SSC). The motto of the school is “Educate and Illuminate”.
The school has proved to be a boon not only to the students and parents of State Bank Colony, Nerul consisting of more than 1,000 flats, but also to the citizens of Nerul and adjacent nodes of Navi Mumbai. The wards of officers of the bank and school staff are provided fee concessions.
Sited in Nerul, Navi Mumbai, the SBOA School campus spread over 3,500 sq.mts offers modern infrastructure comprising spacious classrooms, a well stocked library, audio visual room, science labs, computer lab and art and craft room. The Language Lab and Activity Centre conducts programmes in personality development & communication skills, handwriting improvement, ‘Miracle Math’s’, creative memory & study techniques etc.
