The Supreme Court has scheduled 3 August for hearing multiple petitions raising concerns about the transparency of the NEET-PG examination process, particularly regarding the release of answer keys and evaluation methods.
A bench comprising Justices K Vinod Chandran and NV Anjaria briefly heard the matters on Monday.
One of the petitions, filed through advocate Tanvi Dubey, challenges the opaque nature of the evaluation system and seeks several directions to the National Board of Examinations (NBE), which conducts NEET-PG.
The plea calls for the release of question papers and answer keys to candidates, disclosure of correct and incorrect questions, and the option for revaluation in cases of score discrepancies. It also urges the court to allow candidates to challenge disputed questions or answers and to direct the institution of a transparent evaluation system for current and future examinations.
The petition alleges that the lack of transparency undermines the credibility of the exam and adversely affects candidates’ rights.
