Ahmedabad based SciKnowTech – an experiential learning academy combining Science, Knowledge & Technology – announces short and long duration programmes for school children. Through these programmes, SciKnowTech aims to develop scientific aptitude, attitude and temperament in children through the experiential learning approach.
Sci KnowTech presently offers the following programmes:
1. One year programme – This is conducted in the academy itself. The academy hosts well-equipped session rooms and creative labs for physics, chemistry, biology and general science. Each day is allotted to a specific grade with maximum batch-size of 12 kids in order to ensure personalised attention. The curriculum is designed by scientist, educationist and founder of SciKnowTech Dr. Megha Bhatt in line with the NCERT curriculum.
2. Workshops – SciKnowTech conducts workshops in schools, universities and other organisations to foster love for Science and expose the kids to experiential learning. The workshops are of two types:
Single stand-alone workshop – Aptly named as “FunXploring Workshop”, it is a theme-based workshop with that engages parents as well as kids.
Year-long workshops – SciKnowTech works closely with the schools and accordingly organises the workshops once a week where the grade-level concepts are discussed along with live model-making and experiments. Typically, the models (made and distributed by SciTech) are given to kids. In collaboration with the Science Club of several schools, SciKnowTech also conducts workshops annually. In these workshops, schools have the option of either opting for trainers+models OR only models.
SciKnowTech also takes up CSR initiatives, wherein these workshops are carried out in schools from small towns/villages for the benefit of kids. In order to scale up and propagate such learning, SciKnowTech also conducts teachers’ training programmes.
