Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya marked its 69th Founder’s Day with grandeur and pride, honouring its timeless motto, “Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya,” which reflects the institution’s enduring commitment to enlightenment through knowledge, wisdom, and compassion.
The ceremony was graced by Her Highness Maharani Priyadarshini Raje Scindia, President of the Board of Governors; Padma Shri Priya Paul, Chairperson of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, as Chief Guest; and Anjana Puri, recipient of the prestigious Vijaya Award 2025 instituted in honour of the school’s founder, Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia.
In her Founder’s Day Address, Principal Nishi Misra reflected on the school’s journey of growth and excellence, reiterating its steadfast commitment to the pillars of Service, Heritage, and Enterprise — values that form the foundation of every SKV girl. She highlighted the school’s stellar achievements across academic, cultural, sporting, and leadership domains, celebrating how SKV continues to make its mark both nationally and globally. Students have earned international university placements, prestigious scholarships, and distinctions in diverse fields, underscoring the school’s mission to nurture young women who lead with intellect, integrity, and empathy.
Her Highness Maharani Priyadarshini Raje Scindia paid heartfelt tribute to the founders whose vision continues to guide the institution. She expressed pride in the school’s legacy of excellence and emphasized the importance of continual growth through functional and infrastructural enhancements designed to strengthen academic, cultural, and residential facilities. She commended the school’s holistic approach to education and its unwavering dedication to empowering young women to become compassionate and confident leaders.
Chief Guest Priya Paul lauded the school’s vision and encouraged students to embrace creativity, courage, and empathy in all their pursuits.
The Vijaya Award 2025 was presented to alumna Anjana Puri, whose distinguished accomplishments and commitment to the ideals of SKV continue to inspire generations. In her address, Puri reflected on the empowering role the school played in her life, giving her both the courage to strive and the strength to persevere. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to her alma mater and the mentors who shaped her journey.
The evening also witnessed significant moments of recognition. Principal Nishi Misra was honoured by Her Highness Maharani Priyadarshini Raje Scindia for completing 15 years of leadership at the helm of the institution, a testament to her vision and commitment. English faculty member Nidhi Chaturvedi was also recognised for 15 years of dedicated service.
Awards and commendations celebrating excellence in academics, leadership, and co-curricular achievements were presented with much enthusiasm.
A major highlight of the evening was the musical drama “Chasing Vaani,” a suspense-filled and humour-infused production that captivated the audience with its creativity and flawless execution, receiving resounding applause.
The celebrations closed on a heartwarming note as the Alumnae Batch of 2000 took the stage to felicitate the signatories, symbolising the enduring bond between the school and its alumnae.
The event concluded with the Head Girl delivering the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to dignitaries, guests, teachers, parents, and students for their support and presence, which made the 69th Founder’s Day a truly memorable and inspiring occasion.
