Seth M. R. Jaipuria School (SMRJS), Lucknow is a co-educational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Delhi. Established in 1992, in the memory of Seth Mungturam Jaipuria, a textile tycoon, the school is spread over a green ten-acre campus in Lucknow.
The objective of a SMRJS education is to promote ‘independence of thought and respect for others.’ The school offers state-of-the-art infrastructure including computer and science labs, a swimming pool and facilities for outdoor sports. The school uses the Educomp smart class programme, and encourages student participation in a variety of extra-curricular activities.
The school’s sprawling ten-acre campus hosts an education block with 75 spacious classrooms, and separate blocks for music, science, art, engineering and social sciences. There are three computer laboratories, science laboratories and a well-stocked library. Sports facilities include a swimming pool and playing fields. An infirmary with a doctor and a nurse ensures that medical emergencies can be taken care of at all times. The school bookshop stocks learning materials for all classes, stationery and school uniforms.
SMRJS offers education from LKG to class XII. The school is recognized by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and is affiliated to the CISCE, Delhi. The Inter-State Board of Anglo-Indian Education syllabus is followed up to Class VIII. In class X students write the class X ICSE exam. Fresh admission is required for class XI and is based on merit. In classes XI and XII, students have the option to choose from the science and commerce disciplines.
Classroom learning includes projects, powerpoint presentations, discussions and Educomp smart class.
Extracurricular
Students can participate in sports and games such as cricket, football, boxing, physical training and swimming. SMRJS encourages students to learn art, craft, candle making, clay modeling, dance, fabric painting, music, nib painting, western music, stained glass painting, yoga and aerobics.

The school admits children only in LKG and UKG. However, special (transfer cases) admissions are considered from class I through X. Children should have completed 3 ½ and 4 ½ years as on 1st April to be eligible for admission to LKG and UKG. The application forms can be obtained from the office or downloaded online. The fee for the application form and registration is Rs. 1400/- Birth certificate and transfer certificate, along with other basic documents are to be submitted at the time of admission. Three students from SMRJS have participated in the International Software Development Competition in Bangkok, and one student represented India on a 23-day climate change expedition to Canada, Greenland and Iceland under the aegis of the British Council of India.
