Promoted in 1992 by Dr. Rajaram Jaipuria in memory of his father Padmabhushan Seth Mungtu Ram Jaipuria, Seth MR Jaipuria School, Lucknow is a nationally reputed K-12 institution that envisions to become “a school of conscious transformation that offers a wide variety of activities that cater to every child’s interests and help each child in his/her journey to find his/her purpose in life.”

Affiliated with CISCE (New Delhi), the school strives to “prepare children who have the courage and heroism to demand from themselves tireless labour and inner discipline directed towards self-control and self-mastery.”

Rooted in the principles and teachings of Sri Aurobindo, education at Seth MR Jaipuria School is designed to unravel the hidden potential within children and align them with their inner, higher self, so they may consciously and willingly start transforming their outer self.

Campus

The school’s sprawling 9.7 acre campus hosts state-of-the-art infrastructure to enable the holistic development of children. Academic facilities include 130 spacious and well-furnished classrooms, 80 IT enabled learning rooms, 6 well-equipped Science labs, 3 hi-tech computer labs, 2 Maths Mindspark labs and a Research lab.

The school’s impressive sports infrastructure includes a large playground and athetics track, a cricket pitch, a swimming pool, well-maintained courts for badminton and basketball, and facilities  for martial arts, taekwondo and yoga, among other sports.

Academics

Affiliated with CISCE, New Delhi, the school caters to the varied learning needs of children from playgroup through class XII.

The school’s pedagogy is based on the principles of Integral Education and Marzano’s taxonomy that help the child develop scholastic as well as co-scholastic and behavioural skills, thus enabling well-rounded development of the child.

Keeping different learning styles in mind, the school uses multiple intelligences approach to help the child manage his learning and value his strengths. Sports & Co-curricular education

Seth MR Jaipuria School offers a wide array of extracurricular activities to foster the physical, creative and artistic development of its students.

Admission

The minimum age as on 1st April of the session:

Playgroup: 2.5 years to 3.5 years

LKG: 3.5 years to 5 years

UKG: 4.5 years to 6 years

Children are admitted after an interaction with the parents and child.

For grades 2 to 9 and 11 – T.C. of previous school, report card of previous two years.

Child needs to qualify the written test.

After the written test interview of parents and children is conducted.

Artwork on NASA website, October 2020

  • Paridhi Yadav (Ukg) participated in the Space Place Art Challenge hosted by NASA; her artwork was featured for the month of October on the Nasa Space Place website.

Pinnacle Inter-School Competition, October 2020 

The Inter-school event organized by Cygnus World School saw participation from various schools across India.

  • In the event Rhyme and Rhythm, there were a total of 150 participants and our students won both in English and Hindi rounds. The first prize in English recitation went to Ishnoor Kaur Anand(2G) and the second prize was bagged by Ilma Touba Kidwai(2E). Swastik Verma(2D) stood first in the Hindi recitation whereas Geet Saran (2G) came in second.
  • In the event 90 Seconds to Fame, our student Medhansh Ojha of Class 3 bagged the third prize; there were a total of 150 participants for the said event.
  • In the Story-telling event, Ishita Tandon of Class 4D was awarded the second position and Anne Swami of Class 4A came in third.
  1. Notable Achievements:
  • Atharva Kushwaha made it to the top 500 out of 2 lakh participants across the country in a model making competition organized by the Indian Space Research Organization.
  • Rayyan Rashad Kidwai achieved an All India Rank of 21 in the Scholastic Writing Awards

  • SMRJ secured second place among 28 competing schools. There were a total of 108 contenders from different parts of the country such as Lucknow, Kanpur, Barabanki, Babatpur, Kolkota, Hyderabad etc.

Khaitan MUN Global Thinkers Conclave, November 2020:

The Khaitan MUN Global Thinkers Conclave, 2020 saw participation from schools from many countries such Myanmar, Morocco, Nepal, Russia, UAE and India.

  • Sania Bhargava and her role-play as the education minister of India, Dr. Ramesh Pookhriyal in the committee on online education and newer practices in schooling made her win the award for the Best Delegate.
  • Krishna Agarwal and his portrayal of Javed Akhtar in the committee on Protests, Public Expression & Cultures of Dissent made him win the High Commendation Award.

Notable Achievements

  • Riya Mishra bagged the second place in an inter-school GK quiz organized by SDSN Public School, with a score of 93%.
  • Sania Bhargava won the 3rd prize in National Level Declamation Competition – Speakathon Abhivyakti, April 2020. Won the 2nd prize in UP Sainik School poetry – writing competition in August 2020.
  • Ridhi Kalra won the first prize in an essay – writing competition organized by the Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden
  • Tashbeeb Jafar won the first prize in the inter-school Hindi elocution competition organized by UP Sainik School.

Mridang, December 2020:

From its conception to its promotion to its execution, the entire fest was handled by Jaipuria students under the guidance of the Music & Dance department teachers. The event focused on student’s expressing themselves through music and dance, with a number of sub-events catering to all age groups:

Itihaas Anveshan Competition, September 2020

  • 500 teams across the country participated in a unique online competition. Our school students chose the theme Clap for Nature and wrote a beautiful song on it. The school stood first and the winning team included: Advaya Chakravarty, Aaditri  Singh and Raghav Kesarwani of Class 7, Anuradha Giri, Shashwat Vikram Singh, Sarthak  Mishra and Nandini Roy Chowdhury of Class 9.
  • Bharat Vikas Parishad Music Competition, September 2020

The music competition was conducted by the Poorvi Shakha of Bharat Vikas Parishad. The competition was based on singing Patriotic songs and submitting video entries of the same. The school won the following accolades:

Crescendo, August 2020

The Inter-Jaipuria cultural fest, Crescendo, in its third edition was conducted entirely online with the theme being ‘Parivartan’ or Change. The multi-school, multi-city competition had a number of events in the fields of education, drama, performing arts and art & craft.

Young Authors in the making
Two students – Priyamvada Singh of 10A and Manya Vats of 12A have participated in the Scholastic – Quill Club Writers’ guided writing and publishing programme, ‘Write Now’, that identifies aspiring, talented writers from across the country, through a 2-step selection process; provides mentorship and moulds them into published authors. Priyamvada’s story, titled ‘What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger’ has been included in an anthology called Golden Light whereas Manya’s story True Colors has been published in the anthology, Inky Blue.
