Sevenchats social media application launched in Bengaluru

Sevenchats, an Indian made social application targetted at making sharing content on multiple formats while assuring zero third party data sharing was launched in the Bengaluru on Saturday by Ramalinga Reddy, Working President of KPCC and former minister of Home Affairs and Transport, Government of Karnataka. 

Sevenchats is a US based software development company whose operations is based out of Bengaluru. 

The application allows sharing thoughts though a multiple format mode including options such as articles, chirpy’s and photo galleries among others. 
 
Speaking at the launch, Syed Javed Khadir, founder and CEO, Sevenchats said, “I am a US citizen but wanted to make a platform for India to prove to the world that we have it in us and need not depend on foreign countries for our social media entertainment. We are a made in India social media platform. We are apart from the rest because of this. All other social media giants are from the West.” 
 
He said that they plan to start operations for Indian users and later open the platform for foreign users. 
 
Khadir said, “Except the audio video calling feature, we have all other features available on the existing social media platforms in the market. Our USP is our data privacy and security. No user data will be shared with any third party. Simply put, one example is that no one will be bothered by advertisements based on their search results like in typical social media apps.” 
 
The app can is available on Android, IOS and Web platforms and users must be over the age of 18. 
 
At the launch, the organisation said that this application will also allow sharing content in multiple languages. The makers also promise a strong content moderation while ensuring that data is not shared with third parties. 
 
Among the several features, the app allows ‘Shouts’ where one can communicate through 150 words. ‘Thought of the day’ for everyday inspiration. ‘Direct messaging’, a news portal that gives access to news as it breaks, forum, polls, galleries, rewards among others.
