Promoted in 2010, SFS Public School, Ettumanoor, Kottayam is an English medium coeducational day school, affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.
The school aims to provide a conducive atmosphere for intellectual development, to facilitate conviction-based spiritual formation, to nurture a sense of the divine and transcendence, and to instill the virtues of gentleness, compassion and optimism.
The school campus hosts Smart classes, well-equipped laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, a well-stocked library featuring thousands of subject specific books and general books with open shelf system, and subscriptions to leading newspapers, journals, and weeklies.
Sports facilities include basketball court, football ground and a spacious playground.
Affiliated with CBSE, the school offers classes from LKG through class XII.
At the Higher Secondary level, five streams are offered, three in Science and two in Commerce. The science streams include the following subjects:
(1) English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. (2) English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science. (3) English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science.
The commerce streams comprise: (1) English, Business Studies, Accountancy, Computer Science and Economics. (2) English, Business Studies, Accountancy, Mathematics and Economics.
Alongside education, students are encouraged to participate in various sports such as football, cricket, basketball and badminton.

Applications for admission to LKG for the ensuing academic year are accepted in December and processed shortly thereafter. Admission to other classes depend on the availability of seats as and when TCs are issued. Admission to SFS is purely merit-based.
The school is ranked among the best day schools in Kottayam.
The school manages two hostels, one for boys on the school campus, one for girls at Athirampuzha. These hostels cater to the board and lodging needs of boys and girls pursuing the higher secondary course at SFS School. While the boys’ hostel, Rev Fr SL Paul Memorial Hostel, is directly managed by the Fathers, the girls are looked after by the Sisters of the Marian Maids Congregation.
The girls’ hostel at the school campus is at the initial stages of planning.
