Shalom Hills International School, Gurgaon is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in 1997, Shalom Hills International School is an unaided Christian Minority School that practices an inclusive education policy.
The motto of the school is ‘World peace through education’. The school aims to create a caring environment with a stimulating and comprehensive programme to foster, nurture and secure the socio-emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual development of each child and endow them with patriotic feelings and civic-minded spirit.
All classrooms are equipped with projectors for interactive classroom sessions. The campus facilities include a well stocked library, well equipped labs for physics, chemistry, biology, robotics and social science, a resource centre and an infirmary. The sports facilities include a basketball court, football court, tennis court, volley ball court, table tennis facility and skating rink.
At the pre primary level, the school offers a combination of auditory as well as visual learning and activities are designed to incorporate multiple intelligences. The prep classes are also equipped with Edurite Smart Boards to deliver interactive teaching and learning pattern. To reduce the burden of books the school has designed in-house publication of reading and writing material for all Montessori classes with a special kit given to every child. The section has Special Resource Centres and activity rooms such as reading corner, clay corner, pretend play corner and intellectual development corner to aid the overall development of a child. Excursions, nature walks and educational trips are also part of the learning process.
For classes I to V, a thematic and integrated methodology is followed and an annual curriculum is designed and mapped out according to sound pedagogy and latest methodology with the purpose of facilitating acquisition not only of knowledge in core subjects, the 4Cs (creative, communicative, critical and collaborative skills) but also to encourage the development of sound values and positive attitudes as well. The thematic syllabus revolves around the integrated textbook for active and holistic learning.
In secondary school, the school follows the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation pattern which gives equal weightage to scholastic and co-scholastic domains and assessment includes students’ knowledge through conventional examination system as well as an ongoing, child-centric and overt process that maps their participation and engagement in class/school activities.
Each academic year is divided into two terms – Term I – April to September and Term II – October to March and all the students undergo school based assessment for co-scholastic aspect of CCE with two formative assessments in each term.
In senior secondary section, the school offers four streams: medical, non medical, commerce and humanities.

Admission process includes an interaction of child and parents with the Headmistress (Pre Primary Wing) and Managing Director on the assigned dates or the Principal/Vice Principal for class I to XII.

Being a day school, Shalom Hills International School, Gurgaon does not offer accommodation facility.
