Sir Padampat Singhania

Sir Padampat Singhania Education Centre (SPSEC) has launched “Kanpur Ek Khoj” and “Kanpur Darshan,” two initiatives aimed at celebrating and exploring Kanpur’s rich cultural heritage. The event, marked by the release of a comprehensive monograph on the city’s history, was attended by distinguished guests including Mayor Pramila Pandey and Kalyanpur MLA Nilima Katiyar.

These initiatives are in line with the National Educational Policy 2020, which emphasizes the importance of students learning about their local heritage. To facilitate participation, SPSEC provided buses for students from government schools and NGOs, allowing them to partake in the experience. SPSEC students took on the role of guides, educating local tourists about Kanpur’s heritage. This effort received commendations from Commissioner Amit Gupta, validating the school’s commitment to community involvement and education.

The journey has been one of significant learning and development for everyone involved. The monograph, a collaborative effort of SPSEC’s students, staff, and management with support from the district administration, will be distributed to parents, students, and the broader community. This document showcases Kanpur’s vibrant legacy and the project’s achievements.

“Kanpur Ek Khoj” aims to serve as a model for other schools, encouraging them to foster deeper connections with local heritage and community engagement. By highlighting the importance of cultural appreciation and involvement, SPSEC hopes to inspire similar initiatives across the educational landscape.
