Overview

Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) Mysore was the dream child of Jagadgruru Dr. Sri Shivaratrhi Rajendra Mahaswamiggalavaru, the 23rd pontiff of Sri Suttur Matt. The Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) officially inaugurated by Dr. T.M.A. Pai, the founder of Manipal Group of Institutions and then chairman of the Academy of Education, Manipal, Mysore State.

Affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU)now its a part of JSS Science and Technology University , the institute boasts academic excellence in professionally oriented programs, and equal proficiency in extra-curricular activities, making it one of the most preferred study destinations for students from all over the country.

Recognizing its many achievements, JSS Science and Technology University has conferred ‘Autonomous’ status to the college from academic year 2007-08. As one of the leading institutes of technical education in India, SJCE has also been recognized under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), a world bank associated scheme.

The institute boasts a dedicated placement cell which facilitates campus interviews with various national and multi-national companies for campus recruitment and also helps in placing the students for project work and internships. The placement centre has an impressive track record of both placements and participating industries and also organises mock interviews, personality development courses, seminars, group discussions, invited talks and road shows of prospective employers. Skill tests are also conducted to prepare the students for tests and interviews.

Campus

SJCE campus sprawls over 117 acres hosting well equipped labs, well-planned physical education facilities, hostel facilities for boys and girls, 24 hours STD and ISD facilities, medical services and pharmacy within the campus, 24 hours library and internet access, central computing facilities, excellent CAD centre equipped with modern design tools, seminar halls, universal prayer hall and meditation centre, round the clock security, canteen, dispensary, co-operative society, transportation, and banking facilities with ATM.
