St. Ann’s High School, Secunderabad is an all girls day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi.
The school was started on April 1, 1871 with 25 orphans and three boarders by the Sisters of St. Ann – a religious congregation committed to the cause of education. The school boasts over 2000 students studying from kindergarten through class XII.
The school’s motto is Sicutapis Operosa which means as busy as the bees. Hence the school’s aim is to make its students responsible adults who in their journey through life, nourished by the nectar of God’s presence within them, will work with others to build “a civilization of love”.
Apart from spacious, well ventilated classrooms the school has a KG activity room, a multimedia room, a computer lab, physics lab, chemistry lab, a well stocked library, a canteen, auditorium, prayer room, open stage for outdoor functions, music room and a large pavilion.
The school offers sports facilities for basketball, tennis and throw ball, indoor badminton and table tennis, long and high jump pit, circular tracks for sprints, straight tracks, drill markings and equipment for games like small, medium and large size hoops, batons, skipping ropes, chess boards, carom boards and poles.

The school’s students’ association functions through several units such as the YCS/YSM, Hindi Samithi, the Science Union, The Literary, Debating and Dramatic Society, the Junior Red Cross and the music association; besides this, the girls are also encouraged to join the Girl Guides or the Bul Buls.

The school pupils aspiring to seek admission into class XI need to take fresh admission after the completion of class X. Admissions are made on merit basis and are subject to the number of seats available.
