The much-awaited results of STTAR National Teachers Olympiad (NTO) were declared on December 22, recognising and honouring the most outstanding educators with their unique All-India Rank and rewards, including cash prizes.
NTO is a prestigious competition organised by Saamarthya Teachers Training Academy of Research (STTAR) to assess teachers’ knowledge and expertise in different areas of pedagogy. The inaugural edition of the Olympiad saw enthusiastic participation by thousands of teachers from 4 countries, 25 Indian states and 5 union territories. The test, conducted on December 9 and 10, aimed to test teachers’ competence in five key areas: child development and educational psychology, inclusive education, learning and pedagogy, assessment, and current affairs in education.
As per the results, Manisha Bhati of Delhi Public School, Greater Noida, emerged as the topper by securing the All India Rank (AIR) 1 and bagging the cash prize of Rs. 4 lakhs. The second position was clinched by Ajinkya Solunke of Podar International School, Parbhani, Maharashtra, who received a prize of Rs. 2 lakhs. Deblina Das of Birla High School, Kolkata, claimed AIR 3 and a cash award of Rs. 1 lakh.
In addition to the top three winners, the National Teachers Olympiad also awarded cash prizes to other outstanding participants. The top 20 rank holders received Rs. 25,000 each, the top 200 rank holders were awarded Rs. 2,000 each, and the top 500 rank holders received Rs. 1,000 each.
The NTO not only acknowledged the achievements of teachers but also provided valuable insights for professional development. Each participant received a detailed and contextualised performance report that includes their All India Rank and State rank. The report also featured personalised recommendations for a growth plan, helping educators enhance their teaching skills and contribute to the overall improvement of the education system. All participants, regardless of rank, received a host of rewards, including complimentary access to a STTAR self-paced learning course and a huge library of learning resource material for professional growth.
“We are thrilled to announce the results of the STTAR National Teachers Olympiad, which is unique platform for recognising and celebrating the extraordinary contributions of teachers. The competition is a catalyst for continuous professional development of teachers, as envisaged in the National Education Policy 2020. Our aim is to transform the educational landscape through competent teachers who are well-versed with different aspects of pedagogy and ready to evolve to keep pace with the continuously changing educational ecosystem,” said Vinod Malhotra, chairman, Academic Council, STTAR.
In its inaugural edition, the STTAR National Teachers Olympiad has gained significant traction by attracting participation from thousands of dedicated teachers nationwide. The success of the event underscores the commitment of educators to excellence in pedagogy and their eagerness to enhance their teaching skills.
