September 7, 2024

Suhani Chauhan, a Class XII student at Amity International School, Pushp Vihar, New Delhi, was awarded the “Arya Navachar Samman” at the “Rashtriya Arya Buddhijivi Sammelan” in Malviya Nagar for her innovation, “Suraksha Kavach” – a patented safety shield made of aluminum to protect against the intense heat of the Yagya Kund.

Ms. Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Lok Sabha and Chief Guest, praised Suhani’s innovation and highlighted the importance of young innovators in nation-building. She encouraged everyone to follow the teachings of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

Suhani credited her grandparents for inspiring the innovation, sharing how the idea emerged from observing the challenges of performing daily havan at home and school. Her design aims to help society by offering protection during Yagyas.

In addition to this award, Suhani also received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar this year for her “So-Apt” solar-powered Agri-Vehicle, designed to transform the agriculture sector.

The event was attended by Thakur Vikram Singh, Shri Anil Arya, National President of Kendriya Arya Yuvak Parishad, Shri Anand Chauhan, Trustee RBEF, and many Arya Samaj members.
