SunEdison and Anna University ink MoU to develop solar technology in India

On November 13, St. Peters, Missouri headquartered SunEdison Inc. (NYSE: SUNE), a leading global solar technology manufacturer and provider of solar energy services, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the 200-year-old engineering institution Anna University. SunEdison and Anna University plan to further the solar photovoltaic (PV) industry in the state of Tamil Nadu through building a curriculum that develops technical expertise and new technologies in the solar energy space.

The vice-chancellor of Anna University, Chennai, Dr. M. Rajaram, explained that the memorandum outlines plans for Anna University and SunEdison to develop certification and training programs for the university’s Institute of Energy Studies. Additionally, Anna University and SunEdison will cooperate in the future to conduct research on sustainable, affordable and reliable energy systems and processes.
