Swami Vivekanand International School & Jr. College, Kandivali is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) offering education from kindergarten to class X. The school offers curriculum offered by Maharashtra State Education Board for class XI and XII. Founded in 1998, SVIS Kandivali school emphasizes holistic education, aiming to provide global exposure and training to foster independent thinking and lifelong learning among students.

It boasts 70 classrooms, each equipped with ICT teaching-learning facilities. Additionally, the school offers a comprehensive range of seven laboratories, including three science labs for physics, chemistry and biology, one robotic lab, one math lab, and two computer labs.

Academics

The school is affiliated with the ICSE exam board and offers education from pre-primary classes to grade X. Teaching methods primarily involve project based learning, where students engage in real-world projects to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

The school has 4000 students, supported by 180 teaching staff, maintaining a teacher-student ratio of 20:1 in pre-primary and 35/38:1 in Primary and Secondary levels. Annually, 10 days are dedicated to teacher training, ensuring continuous professional development.

General Information

Admission

Eligibility for admission follows the guidelines set by the State Education Department. The admission process includes determining the number of available seats based on student promotions and transfers from the previous year. Admission requests can be submitted both online and offline.

The admission schedule is communicated via telephone, email, SMS, and the school’s website. Registration forms and prospectuses are available online and offline. Upon submission of registration forms, students undergo an assessment test. Selected candidates are then notified to submit all required documents for enrollment. Students’ names are registered in the General Register (GR). The deadline for admissions is at the end of April.
