Last year, over 15,000 people from all over Mumbai witnessed the festival that now has a remarkable legacy, having been visited by eminent personalities and artists like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Hariharan, Ustad Sultan Khan, Anu Malik, Aditi Singh Sharma among others. Symphony 2019 was celebrated on an extraordinary scale and had been graced by Bollywood composer and singer duo Vishal- Shekar, popular DJ Shaan, the band Kabir Cafe and TVF-fame comedian Vipul Goyal. Symphony 2020 promises to be grander than before.
Syahi, the literary and design festival of the college is celebrated on the eve of Symphony, as a sub-event. The key highlights of Syahi 2019 were a screenplay writing workshop conducted by Bhavani Iyer, the screenwriter of critically acclaimed movies like Raazi, Black, and Guzaarish among others; panel sessions, speaker sessions, art exhibits, interactive workshops, etc.. This year it will be Syahi’s third edition.
With so many exciting things happening at the festival, Symphony 2020 is sure to be a hit!
Symphony holds a very special place for everyone at K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering. The annual cultural fest, according to them, proves to the world that they are more than just “academic robots”, as their status suggests. So, while every year at Symphony is a memorable one, this year’s is going to get a completely new identity!
In a world where we are shackled by the strict rules of piety, everyone needs a getaway that will free them from mundane realities. A place where the unlikeliest of people come together and the things that are usually separated by the laws of nature, reunite. The human brain is such that it is constantly looking to create moments of complete bliss, where all of its worries fade into oblivion. There exists a place which is completely conducive to happiness, a place where the human mind is constantly in a state of bliss, such is Eudaemonia. Eudaemonism is a moral philosophy that describes “doing-well” as a means of living the best life you could dream of. So hold on to your horses as we bring to you Symphony 2020- A Eudaemonic Fiesta.
