Tamil Nadu schools for students from 9th to 12th standard along with colleges, research and educational institutions will reopen from November 16 by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami announced on Saturday, October 31, 2020 as he extended the lockdown in the state till November 30.
Places where people gather in large numbers like beaches, swimming pools, tourist spots etc. would remain closed. The ban on international flight services will continue except on routes allowed by the Centre.
In a statement here, the CM Palaniswami said people should be extra-cautious in this phase since the Covid-19 infection has come down. He appealed to the people to wear masks without fail when they step out of their houses. Besides, they should adhere to the guidelines issued by the government for preventing the spread of the infection.
Recently, the Rajasthan government also stated that all schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions in the state will remain closed for students till November 16. Furthermore, swimming pools, cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes, entertainment parks and similar places will also remain closed till November 30. The Rajasthan government said on Sunday, November 1, 2o2o.
