“From her childhood, our daughter Saanvi (class V) has heard stories about India’s history, culture, values, and heroes from us. We also encourage her to watch Republic and Independence Day parades on television. During her holidays, we visit new places where we teach her to appreciate and respect others traditions, languages and customs. Additionally, we motivate her to participate in school activities so she develops a sense of responsibility toward society and grows into a responsible citizen.” — Shubhi Jain, Homemaker

“To teach our son Kriyansh (LKG) patriotism, we take time out from our busy lives to tell him stories of India’s freedom struggle and the significance of our independence from British rule, apart from other historical events. Moreover, we take him with us to visit historical sites and museums, science fairs and games of national pride. We have also taught him to sing the national anthem and draw the national flag, national birds and animals as well” — Dr. Anu Tanwar, Gynaecologist, Paarivar Health Care, Bijnor

“Instilling patriotism in children is crucial for their emotional and social development. To ensure our son Kunj (class I) is given early lessons in patriotism, we lead by example — displaying patriotic values, sharing tales of national heroes, freedom fighters and historical events. We also sing patriotic songs and engage him in activities, parades and flag-hoisting ceremonies on national holidays. Moreover we watch patriotic films and documentaries with Kunj” — Surbhi Narula, Dietician

“ From young age, our daughter Ambika (class X) has displayed deep affection for her country, integrating her patriotism with her passion for music. As parents, we have encouraged her to explore this love, fostering a sense of responsibility, respect, and pride in her nation. We actively attend events and programs that allow her to express her patriotic spirit, and we remain committed to supporting her love of music and nation. We believe patriotism is more than just a word; it’s an emotion that every child should have” — Shalini Mathur, Teacher, St. Mary’s School, Bijnor
