The Asian School, Dehradun is a co-educational residential school offering education from nursery through class XII. The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was founded in 2000 by Asian Educational Charitable Society.

The Asian School Dehradun is affiliated with the CBSE board, New Delhi. The school’s teaching methodology is activity oriented and involves practical work and provision for concrete learning. Most science and language classes are conducted in labs. Students lagging behind in academics are provided remedial coaching (extra tuition), either during prep or activity periods.
A choice of subjects is offered in class IX and each child must select one subject from each of the six groups English, Hindi, social studies, science or economics, mathematics or commercial studies, computer science/environmental science/music/art/physical education/yoga.
Extracurricular: Art, craft, music, dance and yoga are mandatory until class VII as the school considers them to be an essential component of the education process. From class IX onwards, art, craft and music may be either be pursued as Spare Time Activities (STA)after class hours or as an examination subject.
Sports activities include athletics, badminton, basketball, baseball, boxing, cricket, cross country, gymnastics, hockey, horse riding, karate, soccer, swimming, table tennis, skating and shooting.

The admission notification is issued in leading newspapers three to four months before commencement of the academic year. Prospective parents can visit the school and register their child for admission into a particular class.
After registration all candidates are notified about the dates for entrance test and interview. Tests for class I onwards are conducted in English, math, Hindi and general knowledge, based on syllabi of the previous class. The tests are then followed by interviews which must be attended by children and their parents.
The school’s admission committee is endowed with the right to reject/accept applications of any student.

Students of The Asian School, Dehradun have displayed their academic brilliance consistently and have topped the CBSE class XII board exams in the state of Uttarakhand.
The student hostel accommodates 400 students housed in three separate hostels – one each for junior boys, senior boys and girls. The hostels are staffed with a housemaster, tutors and a matron for round the clock supervision.
Meals, snacks and soft drinks, including options for non-vegetarians, are available in the school kitchen which serves hygienically cooked food. Non-vegetarian food is served five days in a week and milk is served thrice daily. The menu includes Punjabi, South Indian, Chinese and Continental cuisines.
