The Economic Times announces the 2nd edition of Best Education Brands in India

The Economic Times – India’s leading business daily – recently announced its 2nd edition of Best Education Brands in India, which will bring together the top contributors in the field of higher education following the global education trends and recognising the best of facilities and faculties in the fraternity.
India has a dynamic education industry which, includes private players and also government institutions who have hugely contributed in the overall development of the country’s educational system. Close to 50 percent of India’s population are youth and industry reports indicate that over 11 million students are educated by 0.5 million teachers in 18,000 colleges and 367 universities.

Talking about the initiative, Deepak Lamba, president, Times Strategic Solutions Limited, said, “We are glad to bring together the premier higher educational institutions and academicians from all over the country under one roof to recognise their contribution to making India a truly global educational hub. Our educational system is increasingly influenced by global best practices and new formats of teaching that is influenced by technology. We are looking to congratulate such brands that are taking a forward step in enriching our young minds. This year, we will also be launching our coffee table book ‘Best Education Brands’. 

The first edition last year focused on school brands, while this year it will also recognise the best colleges and universities. The evening will observe thought leaders in the field of education discuss, deliberate and analyse, what makes an education brand truly outstanding and will also exchange views on imparting education through digital modes without losing the personal touch.

The event agenda will include an opening keynote on the government’s education vision and the role of various stakeholders in achieving the dream and panel discussion on welcoming the future of education and address by the chief guest, Manish Sisodia, deputy chief minister, Delhi.

This will be followed by the launch of the coffee table book ‘Best Education Brands’ and felicitation of the brands.
