The Sagar School, Alwar is a co-educational residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, and offers education from class IV through XII. Nestled amidst the Aravalli ranges in Rajasthan, the school was promoted in 2000 by Dr. Vidya Sagar, a leading intellectual property and corporate lawyer.

Spread over 160 acres, the Sagar School campus has a multitude of academic and co-curricular facilities. The blocks within the campus include the administrative block, assembly area, academic blocks I and II, performing and creative arts centre, media centre, science block and the utility block. The school also houses an observatory, an auditorium and an amphitheatre. The campus also houses the student and staff residencies along with parking, laundry and a health centre.
The sports infrastructure on campus includes a volleyball court, two football grass fields, a full-size hockey grass field, three basketball courts, a cricket field with three cemented and three turf pitches, two synthetic and two grass courts for tennis, four outdoor cemented badminton courts, an equestrian arena, an artificial wall-climbing area, an eight-lane 400m track and a swimming pool. Indoor facilities include a table-tennis room with four slag tables, three squash courts with glass walls and three wooden floor indoor badminton courts.
The Sagar School is an English medium school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It offers Hindi, French and German as second and third languages. The subjects taught in different classes are as follows:
Classes IV & V:
Language I (English), language II (Hindi), mathematics, science, social sciences, computers, art, music and dance.
Classes VI to VIII:
Language I (English), language II (Hindi/French/German), language III (Hindi/French/German), mathematics, science, social science, computers, art, music and dance.
Classes IX & X:
Language I (English), language II (Hindi/French/German), mathematics, science, social sciences, FIT (foundation of information technology), art and work education.
CLASSES XI & XII:
English is offered as the core language. The student can then opt for four more electives based on aptitude from the core academic/vocational areas (science, commerce and humanities).

Admission requests are entertained for the new session which starts April onwards. The prospectus and application form are available with the Admission Officer and PR Executive. Children who apply are expected to appear in a general proficiency test followed by an interaction with the Principal and Admission Committee. An admission offer letter is issued based on the combined review of the above and availability of seats. The decision of the School is final and binding.
Admission is confirmed upon payment of fee and timely submission of all desired documents as stated in the application form. Any false information may result in cancellation of admission.
The eligibility criterion for admission is that the student should be over eight years and under 10 years to get admission into class IV. Admission to any class is permitted only upon qualifying the previous class examination from a CBSE affiliated school or any other recognized board.
Choice of humanities, commerce or science streams along with vocational subjects in class XI shall be based on qualifying marks in the class X exams and also the aptitude of the student for the desired stream. No student shall be admitted in class IX and XI after 31st August of the session in which admission is sought.
No admissions are allowed into classes X and XII as per CBSE norms.

Boarding houses at the Sagar School are blended very well with modern technology and international outlook. The school has air-conditioned hostels with separate facilities for boys and girls. The spacious, well-ventilated rooms are shared by five students. Hot water facilities are made available throughout the year.
Each hostel has a total capacity of 32 students under the efficient supervision of the house parents. The students are expected to make their beds in the morning and to arrange and maintain their almirah and respective personal spaces.
The hostels are inspected regularly by the Dean of Pastoral Care to ensure that the rooms are well kept. House-keeping and laundry are handled by the contracted staff of Compass. The Boarding Houses also provide modern comforts with recreational facilities including indoor games in the common room where children are able to use their leisure time productively. They can watch television in the afternoon and in the evening after dinner.
