The school offers CAIE curriculum and lessons are delivered using digital educational content and live presentation telecasted in all class rooms. In the pre primary classes, learning takes place through doing, observing, reasoning and first hand experience; teachers aim at creating a healthy and holistic learning environment by enhancing non-formal learning. Teaching aids include story books, picture books, films, worksheets, activity sheets, puppets, slides and other audio visual representations. In the second year of prep level games, music and play activities and in the third year, motor and speech skills are improved through games, scribbling, colouring, recitation, music, drama. Enhancing the linguistic abilities of the children assumes great priority. In the fourth and final year, supervised activities like cutting with safety scissors, puzzle solving and building blocks, child is prepared to be proficient and ready for formal learning.
In classes I to VI, the curriculum provides a framework to develop math, English and science knowledge in young children and helps them discover information about the surrounding world. The programme includes top quality teaching and assessment resources, identifies learner’s strengths and weaknesses to support learning and development. The other subjects include ICT, arts, humanities, design and technology and an additional language.
Classes VII and VIII have a flexible programme that connects with the primary programme through careful progression of monitoring progress and further enhances the knowledge in English, mathematics and science. The other subjects include ICT, arts, humanities and one more language and the curriculum provides opportunities for research, self-exploration and peer-feedback.
In classes IX and X, the core curriculum is extended to suit learners and cross-curricular perspectives are introduced. The curriculum develops students’ skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving and prepares them for the next stage in their education. At the beginning of the school’s 2-year International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) programme, learners are guided to choose subjects from 5 core subject groups and each subject is certificated separately.
The Cambridge Advanced programme helps learners to develop deep understanding, independent learning, critical thinking skills and builds foundations for entry to universities worldwide. Cambridge Advanced includes Cambridge International AS and A Level and Cambridge Pre-U qualifications with focus on equipping learners with skills recognised by universities and employers worldwide.
