(4 servings) Made from roasted sesame seeds, jaggery, dry fruits and coconut, this traditional sweet is light and healthy. Ingredients 250 gms (2 cups) sesame seeds 250 gms jaggery ½ cup desiccated coconut ½ cup roasted peanuts, crushed 1 tsp cardamom powder 2 tbsp ghee Preparation guide Heat a flat nonstick pan. Add sesame seeds and dry roast them till they change colour. Keep aside. Add in the peanuts and dry roast them till brown. Cool and grind into a coarse mixture. In the same pan, dry roast the desiccated coconut till golden brown, then keep aside. Now, mix all the three ingredients together along with cardamom powder and keep aside. To prepare jaggery syrup, heat the pan, add in powdered jaggery with ½ cup water and stir until the lumps are gone. Keep stirring till it boils and thickens (when you add a drop of jaggery syrup on a plate, it should not spread). At this point turn off the flame, add the dry roasted mixture carefully and mix well.
