The Tripura government has announced that classes 9 and 11 will begin after December 28, 2020. The govt had earlier announced that colleges and schools for students of classes 10 and 12 will begin.
A notification issued by the joint secretary of secondary education, Saju Vaheed, on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 stated “As it reveals that the situation of Covid-19 is under control in the State, so the students of class 9 and 11 (both government, government-aided and private unaided schools) shall be allowed to attend schools wef 28th December 2020.”
A list of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) has also been issued for the conduction of regular classes. Students will have to get a consent letter from their parents for attending classes. Schools have to arrange for routine sanitisation, thermal scanning and hand washing of the students, staff and also parents of the students. They will have to make sure that there is a distance of six feet between students in classrooms.
