Established in 2003, Trivandrum International School, Kerala (TRINS) is a coeducational international day-cum-boarding school affiliated with the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi, Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), UK and the International Baccalaureate (IB), Geneva. It was the first school in Kerala authorized to offer the IB (International Baccalaureate) programme. Set on a 17 acre campus in the outskirts of Trivandrum, boarders, weekday boarders and day scholars are accepted.
While focusing on academic excellence, the school offers training in a variety of extra-curricular activities including music, performing arts, and a variety of sports and adventure sports. The school follows the motto ‘learning is for life’ and is committed to “mould its students into self-confident, sensitive, responsible and informed individuals”. International education practices are blended with Indian values and traditions.

The school is set in an idyllic, hilltop campus spread across 17 acres on the outskirts of Trivandrum.
There are well-equipped labs for mathematics and science, fully networked computing facilities and a regularly updated reference library. There are two tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts, a football field, a 25mt six-track swimming pool, and halls for yoga and aerobics.
Day scholars can avail air-conditioned transport, with at least two teachers in each vehicle.
The school is affiliated with the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations(CISCE), New Delhi, Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), UK and the International Baccalaureate (IB), Geneva. Students are admitted into kindergarten 1 and in class X have the option to write the ICSE or IGCSE exam, and in class XII the ISC or IB diploma programme.
Teachers practice hands-on and exploration-based pedagogies. In the middle school, all science classes happen in the lab. Individual attention is given to ensure that students understand concepts. Students are encouraged to do independent work, and learn the art of self-study.
Extracurricular education: Expert coaching is provided for football, lawn tennis, badminton, basketball, athletics, swimming, gymnastics, cricket, water polo and throw ball. Students also take part in adventure sports such as trekking, rock climbing, and river crossing.
Training is provided to students interesting in learning musical instruments such as piano, guitar, violin, and veena, as well as, Indian and Western music, painting, dancing and theatre.

Admissions are open for KG1 to class IX and class XI. For admission, the admission form along with the child’s birth certificate, prior academic records (if any), confidential medical report and transfer certificate from previous school (class II and above) need to be submitted to the school. For entry to class III and upwards, children are required to write an aptitude test.

Boarding facilities are provided for both boys and girls. The hostel offers comfortable rooms shared by three students, with a fully tiled en-suite bathroom. Housekeeping and laundry services are available. A dietician and well-qualified chef ensure that delicious, nutritious food is provided. The school also has the facility of flexi-boarding where students can spend weekdays in school and go home on weekends. There is a doctor on call.
