The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will extend its fee waiver scheme to poor meritorious students of MBA, MCA, PGDM and PGDCA. Students from family with an annual income of less than Rs 6 lakh are eligible to apply.
The scheme, launched by UPA government in 2011, was used by students of bachelor, diploma and post diploma programmes of technical and professional courses. With this expansion, it will now cover all technical and professional courses under AICTE in which no stipend/scholarship is available.
“AICTE has been receiving requests from various quarters including parents, students and technical institutions to extend the benefit of Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme to other post graduate course such as MBA and MCA.
