Turmeric latte recipe (1 serving) Ingredients cup plain or unsweetened almond or coconut milk 1 tbsp grated turmeric (if using turmeric powder, halve the measurement) 2 tsp honey 1 tsp grated ginger Pinch of pepper powder Ground cinnamon for garnish (optional) Preparation guide Blend milk, turmeric, honey, ginger and pepper in a mixer until smooth. Pour into a saucepan and heat over medium-high flame until steaming hot, but not boiling. Transfer to a mug. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Health benefits A relative of ginger, turmeric has been used in India for centuries to treat common colds, flu and breathing difficulties. The curcumin in turmeric fights a variety of viruses. However turmeric contains only 3 percent curcumin.
