The Bhadohi district administration has taken significant steps against 80 government school teachers accused of using fraudulent medical certificates to avoid their assigned election duties during the Lok Sabha elections held on May 25. Bhupendra Narayan Singh, the District’s Basic Shiksha Adhikari, revealed that out of 106 teachers tasked with election duties, 80 were absent on polling day despite claiming medical reasons and providing medical reports. Following a thorough investigation, authorities determined that 80 of these medical certificates were falsified, while 26 were genuine.
In response to this misconduct, the district administration has implemented several disciplinary actions. Adverse entries will be made in the service records of the implicated teachers, marking this incident as a serious breach of duty. Additionally, a comprehensive departmental inquiry has been initiated to delve into the matter further and ensure accountability. Such actions underscore the administration’s commitment to upholding the integrity of election processes and maintaining discipline among government employees.
