VOOT – the digital video-on-demand streaming service – has launched VOOT Kids, a multi-format app for children that can be accessed through mobiles and tablets. The app offers over 20,000 content pieces across various segments like kids’ cartoons, best of pre-school and learning shows, picture e-books, audio stories and fun quizzes for kids between the ages of 2 to 8 years. The app hopes to empower parents with relevant and superior quality engagement options for their children.
The multi-format app which offers hours of Indian and International content under the ‘watch’, ‘learn’, ‘read’ and ‘listen’ categories is the only app to be vetted and certified by the Early Childhood Association (ECA). Available at a subscription, the app can be downloaded on IOS and Android phones. The VOOT Kids’ content library consists of audio books from Karadi Tales, Jataka Tales, children’s best-selling e-books as well as 100 original stories that have been narrated by celebrities. The content on VOOT Kids will also have multiple choice questions (MCQ’s) too. Content for the app’s fun learning space has been created to impact and improve a child’s number skills, general knowledge, life skills, creative art expressions and understanding of words and vocabulary.
VOOT kids has partnered with Nickelodeon, Oxford University Press, Warner Media, Green Gold, Ceebeebies, TV Asahi, Sony Music, Hasbro, Mattel, Lego and many more to line-up its content. The curated ad-free content library has parental control features that allow parents to evaluate progress, limit screen time and track content consumed making it a safe one-stop online destination to entertain and engage children.
