Vivekanand Education Society Polytechnic (VESP), a constituent institution of Vivekanand Education Society (VES), has received the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Narsee Monjee Award for Best Overall Performance – Polytechnic (Maharashtra State). The award was presented at the ISTE National Annual Convention held in Puducherry.
This is the second time VESP has received the Narsee Monjee Award. All departments of the polytechnic have been accredited twice.
The award is conferred on polytechnic institutions based on performance across academics, governance, industry engagement, teaching–learning practices, faculty initiatives, student outcomes, and contributions to technical education. VESP was selected following an evaluation of institutional practices, student achievements, and alignment with outcome-based and industry-linked education.
VESP has focused on skill development, internships, entrepreneurship, and curriculum aligned with industry and higher education requirements.
Commenting on the recognition, Vikrant Joshi, Principal, Vivekanand Education Society Polytechnic, said the award reflects the institution’s approach to technical education that combines academic learning with ethics and social responsibility.
The recognition reinforces VESP’s standing among polytechnic institutions in Maharashtra and highlights the continued educational initiatives of Vivekanand Education Society, guided by the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda.
