VP Dhankar announces MoU between BITS Pilani & Indian Council of World Affairs

BITS Pilani welcomed Vice-President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Ministry of Law & Justice, to their Pilani campus in Rajasthan. During the visit, Vice President Dhankhar announced an MoU between BITS Pilani and the Indian Council of World Affairs, facilitating 5 BITS Pilani student internships at Rajya Sabha and inviting BITS students for recurring visits as guests to the Rajya Sabha.

Engaging in enriching discussions with the BITS Pilani community, Vice President Dhankhar celebrated India’s economic transformation and the strides made in digitization. He emphasized the pivotal role students play in shaping India’s destiny, acknowledging BITS Pilani’s significance in the nation’s economy. He encouraged students to embrace innovation and fearlessness, asserting that students are the ultimate stakeholders of democracy.

Prof V Ramgopal Rao, Vice Chancellor of BITS Pilani, and Prof Sudhirkumar Barai, Director Pilani, warmly welcomed the distinguished guests, offering insights into BITS Pilani’s remarkable progress as an institute of national eminence. Prof V Ramgopal Rao expressed the institution’s commitment to nurturing future leaders and advancing progress and development in India.

With a network of five campuses, 18,000 students, and 900 dedicated faculty members, BITS Pilani aspires to become the Stanford of India, fostering world-class education, research, and innovation. The institution boasts a rich legacy and accomplished alumni who have consistently brought honor to their alma mater.
