In a significant industry-academia collaboration, IndianOil Adani Ventures Limited (IAVL) has signed its first-ever academic partnership with Woxsen University. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) marks a strategic move to advance innovation, executive learning, and applied research in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
The MoU was formalised by Manoj Kumar Borad, CFO & Director Finance of IAVL, and Raul V Rodriguez, Vice President of Woxsen University. The partnership will see students, researchers, and professionals engage in joint research initiatives, with a particular focus on real-world AI applications across IAVL’s operations.
Leveraging Woxsen’s AI Research Centre and Robotics Lab, the collaboration will enable shared research projects, industry exposure, and executive education programmes tailored for IAVL employees. These programmes will cover domains such as Terminalling, Build Services, and Renewable Energy.
“This partnership embodies our commitment to fostering innovation that not only advances academic learning but also creates tangible, sustainable impact in the energy sector,” said Rodriguez. “Together with IAVL, we aim to redefine the future of oil and gas through AI.”
IAVL will also provide internships and industry visits for Woxsen students, offering experiential learning opportunities. Additionally, the institutions will co-host workshops, seminars, and guest lectures, featuring subject matter experts from both sides.
Woxsen will develop case studies based on IAVL’s business operations, particularly focusing on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models, to give students deeper insights into strategic decision-making.
This partnership sets a precedent for bridging academic excellence and industrial innovation, aimed at driving technological progress and sustainable growth in India’s energy sector.
