WUD to host global Design Thinking workshop – Global Goals Jam 2.0

Sonipat, Haryana based World University of Design (WUD) – India’s first and only university dedicated to education in the creative domain – is organising a two-day exclusive Design Thinking workshop – Global Goals Jam 2.0 (GGJ) on September 21-22, 2018. The last date to register for the workshop is September 12. Being hosted in association with the Digital Society School of University of Applied Sciences, Amsterdam along with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), GGJ is an international platform for inclusive learning where people from all around the world contribute to the 17 global goals for sustainable development by sharing their stories, projects and visions for the future.

Global Goals Week was launched in 2016 under the aegis of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and together with the United Nations Foundation to offer an SDG-focused branding umbrella for key convening both within and alongside the UN General Assembly (UNGA). It has grown each year and continues to recruit more partners in the build up to 2020, the key milestone for the Goals agenda. This year, WUD will host the event along with 40 other cities worldwide.

GGJ 2.0 at WUD will focus on health and well-being. With key note address by Dr. Sushma Sagar (professor, AIIMS Delhi), and inaugural address by Swati Subodh, the  bio-scientist-entrepreneur and director for Healthcare Innovations at 1M1B (1 million for 1 billion) Foundation, the workshop is attracting mentors from top colleges like IIT Delhi, and industry leaders for various organisations including Investindia and Zepplers.

Speaking about the need for the workshop, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, vice chancellor, World University of Design said, “GGJ Delhi 2.0 provides a unique opportunity wherein human minds from various sectors can ideate and work together with industry experts, gain valuable insights and shape their ideas better to create a better future for mankind. Students and professionals across disciplines wanting to bring about a change or having innovative ideas or desirous of learning service design are encouraged to be part of the workshop.”
