XLRI announces date for Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2014

XLRI, one of the premier B-Schools in India announces the date for the next Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) to be held on January 5, 2014. The registration for XAT will take place from August 12 to November 22, 2013.

This year, XAT has added a few additional centers including Udaipur, besides the 44 cities in India and three international cities of Dhaka, Dubai and Kathmandu, where XAT 2013 is held.

The eligibility criterion for XAT 2013 is three-year Bachelors degree or equivalent from a recognized university or a deemed university. 

Last year, 106 B-schools accepted the scores of XAT exam as part of their admission criteria apart from XLRI, some of these being LIBA, Chennai; XIME, Bangalore; XIM, Bhubaneswar; TAPMI, Manipal; Goa Institute of Management; BIMTECH, Greater Noida; BULMIM, New Delhi; Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi ; IFMR, Chennai; SPJIMR, Mumbai; WeSchool, Mumbai; Jaipuria Institutes of Management; Gitam Institute of Management, Vishakhapatnam; Globsyn Business School, Kolkata and  Mudra Institute of Communication, Ahmedabad (MICA).

XAT 2013 was of 3 hours duration and was divided into two parts. The first part consisted of multiple-choice questions on data interpretation & quantitative ability, analytical reasoning & decision making ability and verbal & logical ability and time allotted was 2 hours 20 minutes. The newly introduced 40 minute exam section included essay writing and general awareness.

XAT has always focused on good language skills, decision making skills of the candidates and given all aspiring candidates ample opportunity to display their innate capabilities.
